Hetty Baiz studied art at Bard College and Cornell University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She also holds an MBA from Columbia University and was awarded a fellowship to the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.
Her most recent solo exhibits include Bernstein Gallery, Princeton University; Morpeth Contemporary, Hopewell, NJ; Tenri Cultural Institute, New York City; and DrawingSpace, Melbourne, Australia among others. She has been selected for numerous juried exhibitions including the International Women Artists' Biennale in Incheon, South Korea, and the New Jersey Arts Annual at the New Jersey State Museum. Hetty has also exhibited in Tibet, China and France as well as numerous museums and venues in the United States. Her work is held in many private and corporate collections.
In addition to her studio practice, Hetty teaches art workshops to women at the Philani Child Health & Nutrition Project in Khayelitsha, a township outside of Cape Town, South Africa.
